A blessing spoken by Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu on stardate 1513.1 (2266), in the Star Trek episode, "The Man Trap." Sulu evoked it when Yeoman Janice Rand brought him a tray of food as he worked in the arboretum of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Use of this blessing is an in-joke: a reference to Star Trek executive producer Gene Roddenberry's nickname, "The Great Bird of the Galaxy." As such, it has no analog in American English.
